i woke up at 8am expecting to have a very busy day ahead of me. we are going somewhere at ten. prepared myself and waited in front of the television in the commonroom until i found out that the trip was will be postponed for an hour. okay. so i brought my guitar out and played waiting for tiem to pass by.
finally, we were out there. what did we do? just a quick lunch date (there were six of us). it was only my second time to eat in a thai restaurant. yeesh... buffet eat-all-you-can! they serve frogs (yes, the whole frog), shrimps, crabs, pork (was that really pork?), chicken (hopefully without birdflu) and
sotanghon soup for the main course. then there was the salad. then the buko pandan (would you believe we passed by a local buko stand which sells coconut at NT80 a piece?). then the ice cream. and milk tea. and ice cream again. and the cola! yey! sheesh, i love being a freeloader! :D
yes, our host, the respected mr. raul paid for all those food. and he even is inviting us to go to taipei and meet his family. well, he's married to a taiwanese who doesn't speak english and father to two filipino kids who doesn't speak filipino. wenk.
he took us to one of the farigrounds in chongli which we didn't enjoy much because of the rain.--which made us think.. why does it always rain on weekends? yup. it does. but the morning after is always full of those bright warm(?) days.-- hmmm... i don't know, the weather was cool outside. too cool, in fact, it registered to be as low as 18degrees celsius. And i'm out there wearing a t-shirt and without a jacket.
and hey. their are KTV's here... the one where you rent a room to sing. and those MTV's... which does almost exactly the same except that they show movies. one movie, one sitting, just like those horrid (and expensive) theatres out there. now, if you're thinking that we would be saving if we were to go in there, you are wrong. the price difference is negligible at NT160 per person (theatres are NT250 each) considering the time delay that you would need to wait for. well, i'll be willing to watch that Initial D movie that i was hoping for. yey!
hmm.. i'm considering a hiatus mode from the whole internet from november 16 to 19. you ask why? to detach myself form those reviews of a certain movie that i would be dying to see (well, i'm obviously exaggerating... but i would really want to see the movie). yey. now, say no to those tempting luxuries in life to save for a much awaited movie that i would probably be... CORNY...
haha.. no offense to those die-hard fans(?) out there..
hmm.. note to one person. life doesn't revolve on that person alone. go out and enjoy the world out there. the future is broader than you might think... :D
